Well the vacancy I was talking about was for the 3/24 class. They will have to have a saab class sooner or later. I was just hoping to see one with the 3/24 class....but who knows maybe the 4/7 class will be a saab class. (if I keep on saying that eventually I'll have to be right!)

thought someone already mentioned 4/7 being a 900 class, or can they do both at the same time?

Yeah it can. My class and a 900 class ran at the same time.

The latest vacancy calls for 101 SF34 CA's in MSP which is about ten spots lower than what we knew as "normal" a couple years ago. Don't know why they keep playing these games with staffing, but we're gonna be increasingly short on SF CA's in MSP until July it looks like. That's a shame since there are so many guys commuting who would love to be back home. I'd normally put in a crack about Crew Planning here, but I think I've done that enough for one thread.

It all make since, they didn't need as many cap's last month so why would they need more for the summer. You know it might be different this year, we might have a slow summer cause it been busy every summer since the begining of mesaba, so we're do for a slow summer.....some year......right?

Crew Planning has very little to do with it...staffing, routes etc is all dictated by NWA marketing. They give a forecast about the number of hours that need to be covered in each base. I used to work in that department and flight hours could change by 1000 hours a month...which could change staffing by 12-15 lines per month. They just try to keep it close because who knows what NWA what will do. Kind of like gambling....you usually you look like the a**

Default -900 Options

Anybody know how many -900's NWA has options for after the original 36 are delivered?
