Does it mean the 4th class of 2008?

Start reading around post 1100 on this thread. LabMonkey is an expert on it..

Effectively yes. The 08 is the year and the -04 is the vacancy number in sequential order. 08-04 is the 4th vacancy of 2008. Since we run one class per vacancy (typically) it correlates to the 4th class of the year.

Sometimes the company will request to publish a "Multi-Class Bid" and this is when (with MEC approval) you will have multiple class dates per vacancy or reduction.

It's funny how someone in each class always asks that exact same question when they first read the POM. We had a captain in our CRJ-900 class who had actually seen a service monkey on a flight. The more humorous thing to discuss though is what types of animals people have tried to pass off as service animals, claiming that they need them for "emotional stability" (as opposed to physical disabilities). Snakes, rats, spiders, it's all been tried! They need documentation to prove it.

No joke a guy had a service turtle on the flight the other day. I wish I could make something like that up but its true.

I have actually donated money to the helper monkey fund. The military has a combined federal campaign fund every year, and I usually just alloted money to the red cross, but last year I came accross the monkey fund, and had to give them a small portion.

New vacancy out and still no newhires into the saab? You'd got to think that they will be needing to backfill a lot soon.
