I just barely got the call from Steve offering me the job! I interviewed on Tuesday. I felt like the interview went well but that I bombed the sim, thankfully they didn't care too much, I guess. He said class date for April but not sure of bases or equipment. Anyone know how long reserve for the 200 is? If based elsewhere, how long would it take to get MSP? Does anyone by chance commute out of SLC?

Hey,

Anyone on here a Street Captain for XJ? How do you like it? Are you getting all stand-up overnights? I would be interested in being based in DTW. I know I talked to a few of you about it in months past, but I am still curious about it. PM me if you have any good info. Thanks.

I think reserve on the 200 is non existant at the moment. However if you get an April class date I would guess you would see little to no reserve. At most 2 months, but that is just a wild guess. If you get based in MEM or DTW in the Saab or 900, expect not to see MSP for a long time.

I have a quick question for somebody who knows mesaba pretty well. What are the chances of a NWA pilot flow back into mesaba? I heard a rumor that only the number of guys that have flowed up can come back down, is that true? If that is true, how many have already flowed up? I'm starting on 3/10, and already feel like an oldtimer worried about my job! I know it is impossible to tell right now, but what do you think the future will hold for new guys like myself at mesaba if the merger happens?

There has been 3 so far to flow up, and it is true that nwa can only flow back the number equal to the number that have flown up. So if nwa furloughs 300 pilots monday only 3 could come to mesaba, the other 297 can go to compass. I don't think you have to worrie about your job just yet, if a merger does happen chances are it won't affect mesaba for a number of years. Mesaba will be around for while were getting more and more routes and are cheaper to operate then most airlines. Of course we are talking about the airlines so it could be different in 2 days....
