Who had a 737 in MEM? Charter maybe? I had heard of air stairs being moved.

This is probably a dumb question, but I am straight out of the Air Force. What are the guidelines at Mesaba or any airline for that matter on facial hair. Are you always expected to be clean shaven? What about beards or gotees (however you spell it)? Are there actual rules layed out or unspoken rules for that matter. The military was so strict on this and I was wondering how it is in "the real world". Thanks guys.

"Properly groomed moustache," sideburns no lower than your ears, no beards or goatees. Otherwise cleanly shaven.

line pilots are not able to have beards or goatees, the only facial hair allowed is a mustache kept well trimmed that does not go more than 1/4 inch below the corners of the lips
I think the reasoning for this rule is that if you have to don an oxygen mask the beard or goatee will prevent you from making a solid seal with the mask. Not sure if that is the reason or if it is just "professionalism"
a loss of pressurization in the saab at normal cruising altitudes isnt really a problem with o2, especially the short trips where we cruise at 6kft
the jet when you are up at 38kft is a different beast

I thought DAL and/or CAL might have a 737 out of MEM but I haven't seen one recently, mostly their RJs. I have flown on a CAL 737 out of MEM, but it's been a few years.
6K cruise... please, just wait till the 3k cruise
