Mesaba new hires
#1922
Most recent rumors I'm hearing is that the Saab hiring is slowing waaaay down for Feb at least, and no more street CA's for the near future. Anyone have a source that can confirm or shoot me down I'd be happy to hear it. Also sounds like we're done with the crappy saab sim in STL until about June. It's supposed to be getting an overhaul, and being transitioned to a level D from what I hear. Like I said- can't confirm any of it myself, I'm just the low man on the totem pole right now...

I was the first crew on the first day to use the "refurbished" level C sim in STL back in September. The FAA gave FlightSafety 6 months to use it, and after that they said it had to be shut down. So that would sound about right that they'll return it to be used as the trash can it once was.

Hey Gredenko, did you used to fly twin otters? Your avatar shows the picture of Twin Otter. I have some twin otter time myself.

It does climb phenomenally well for a transport category jet. With every seat filled, it will climb out at better than 4000 FPM initially all the way up to around 26,000. Then it will maintain better than 1500 FPM after mid FL 250 all the way up to upper FL 300s (in Summer or in Winter).
