Jesse....

Hey.. I asked this question a day or so ago... look for the thread about routes outta mem for mesaba -900's, should be on page 2 or 3 of the "regionals". Someone posted a link to an annual report and there was a route map for the avros outta mem and those are the routes people think the -900s will take over.

When our pilot negotiations go sour, I expect some of the 900's to be "transferred" That won't be for at least four more years. First they need to make their life miserable for a bit longer then it will be our turn.

By the looks of it, you'll prolly get MEM initially, but be able to hold DTW before you're out of training. You'll never actually be based in MEM.

FDX and UPS are great backups for commuting, but I never actually needed to use them. The flights I was interested in left at 3am... didn't want to get up that early (or stay up that late). Maybe they fly at more reasonable times where you're from though?

I wouldn't count on it. Just be glad you are over here and not over there. Things aren't looking good for those guys right now. Not that we have stellar mngmt but currently XJ feels a little more secure and hopeful.

NW isn't the only option...you have AA and DL as well.

Yeah, small world Tinpusher, im from long island as well, ive been thinking about commuting back home to LI but it will probably eat up my days off, and since DTW will not be available for the Saab Jan 14th class i will have to due with getting a crashpad in MEM for a while. But then again FedEx might be a way of getting home after my rounds......
