Ive got a macbook and crew web works ok except for pairing inquiries. As far as my mesaba its kind of messy using safari. You can use it but some stuff doesnt work quite right. I think it works a little better with firefox though.

Not very well. I had to download internet explorer. It was tough to find for the mac, sorry but I don't remember where I got it.

Mymesaba only works with Internet Explorer. It was designed that way and never intended to work with any other browser. This stinks, as MS no longer supports Mac, so they stopped making IE for Mac years ago.

The work around for this is to get Safari to display the "debug" menu up in the menu bar, at the far right. I forget the process I used to do this, but it's easy. I'd bet you can google it, or maybe even find out how from the "help" menu. If you can't find out the process, post a question on the Mesaba Alpa webboard. That's where it was explained to me.

Once you get the "debug" menu displayed, just go down to "user agent", and select "windows MSIE 6.0". Now Safari will basically emulate Windows Internet Explorer, and MyMesaba will work on your Mac.

Please write an email to the MM webmaster and complain (politically correctly, of course). It's ridiculous that a company website which we are required to access only works with one browser, which also happens to be one of the crappiest browsers out there. It won't ever change if we don't ask for change.

can any 900 guys out there tell me what the standard suitcase is that pilots carry who fly the 900 or one that will for sure fit in the available cabin space? should I go out and buy one on my own now or will I have an opportunity to do this later through mesaba and get what they want me to have? thanks for your help.

You are on your own as far as rollerboards are concerned. Get either the PNT or anyone of the pilot suitcase 22'' they all will fit the closet or the overhead bin on CRJ900s. If you need more info PM me and I will respond. You can get them now or wait until you are done with SIM training. I recommend you get them now because you don't know how much time you will between the PC ride and the beginning of IOE. I only got 4 days off after passing the checkride and the first day of IOE.

I applied for a captain position on December 20th, and they called the next day to set up an interview. I interviewed yesterday, and they called today. I start training on Jan. 14th.
