We are not sure if flowback rights only go to those who flowed up. Hopefully the abritator will come out with a decision soon. If they freeze the APD's & LCA look for a massive bailout. Word on line most will quit, an extra ten bucks an hour or a job at a major? Pretty much a no brainer.

Though I'm not 100% on this, I have to respectfully disagree. The way I understand it is the right to flow down to XJ/Compass has nothing to do with exactly who originally created the spots by flowing up in the first place. Correct me if I'm wrong...

When a Mesaba pilot flows to NWA, the name associated with his seniority number at the time he leaves Mesaba will say “Flow” and will not be given to the next most senior pilot. These “flow” position holders on the seniority list will move up with attrition. If NWA furloughs pilots, NWA pilots may use their NWA seniority to flow to Mesaba into these vacant “flow” positions on the Mesaba Seniority List, and not into any other position on the Seniority List. This system insures that no Mesaba pilot will occupy a position lower on the Seniority List than when the Flow Through process was implemented
Perhaps XJSAAB or RJ85FO can interpret what this means.

Congrats to the Mesaba "threads" participants. This thread (96,482) and three others closely associated (1235, 1971, 609) place the viewers at over one hundred thousand.
Less then three months ago I posted:
Everyone on the forum is doing trend analysis. You are watching what the other guy is doing. Mesaba has 56,705 views and 886 replys to two posts on hiring. They are the most reviewed Regional. Why ? It's not just curiosity. There is an element of deference present - "We watch because they seem to be doing things better. "
100,000 means lots are still watching.

If a NWA pilot were to be furloughed they will be able to bid to flow back to Mesaba or Compass or to the street. A former mesaba pilot who was hired by NWA could flowback to Compass. Only the number of pilots who flow up can flow back to Mesaba. Compass can be completely flushed except 10 percent.

It means that any furloughed NWA pilot may flow down into the "flow" spots, in seniority order, of course.
In other words being former Mesaba (or Compass) will be absolutely meaningless as far as participating in a flow down from NWA is concerned.

A Mesaba CRJ900 Captain flows up and his former position is reserved as FLOW124. A year and 400 hires later, NWA is hit by a fuel crunch and decides to furlough 402 pilots. Does this mean the one pilot senior to the former Mesaba Captain gets the CRJ900 Capt slot. What if he or she was hired by NWA from Mesa with minimum qualifications ?
I was under the impression that only those individuals who flowed up from Mesaba could flow back to Mesaba.
Guess the mediators will figure it all out.

Nope, all NWA pilots would be equally eligible to flow down into the Mesaba "flow" spots when furloughed. The only determining factors would be who bid for it and whose seniority will hold it.
Once a Mesaba pilot makes the flow up to mainline, he/she is no longer a Mesaba pilot, and has no preferential claim to a "flow" spot.

Sorry to steer the topic off the flow-through, but does anyone have any idea how long I can expect to wait for IOE?
