...Ok thats cool. I'll just look around and read some stuff then. I know that they'll teach me what they want me to know when I get there.......hopefully...

They will teach you everything you need to know... As far as the systems, just study ask questions and study some more. If you pay attention in class and use your time outside wisely, you should be fine. Good luck!

It's also worth it to add that with such a complicated aircraft systems-wise, even the most dumbed-down manual out there may come out as nothing more than rambling gibberish to you...Your instructor in class will break everything down into meaningful and manageable bites.

Default Question.....

I have a quick question for all you Mesaba pilots that have been around for awhile. I posted a few posts back about not having a schedule for december. What do you think is the best course of action, wait for scheduling to call as they told me over the phone? Or on the other hand do I try and pick up some open time to essentially make my own schedule? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Sit at home and enjoy your last paid vacation for a long time. You are going to make just as much right now as you would be sitting on reserve for the rest of the month, so wait for them to call you. You have the rest of your career to go flying.

To keep this thread going, what headset works well in the -900? I have searched and found some stuff for the 200, but haven't heard anything for the 900. Is it quieter than the 200? Is there a good headset that would work in the jet for now, and also work when I upgrade to capt in the saab?

Yeah that is kind of weird because you are suppose to go straight to a green line and get those hours knocked out. I had heard that they were just automatically assigning green lines to those who were ready but did not bid. In my case I had put in a bid for Dec and been awarded a line that I had to cancel. Now I'm just hoping to be done with OE by Jan 01 so I can hold a green line then. It's a vicious cycle........

At least I'm not the only one sitting around doing nothing. Makes me feel a little bit better.
