MSP is currently staffed to 30 FO's. We will probably end up with 60 total. There are 41 CR9 FO's in DTW currently. It is possible that some of them are bidding MSP when available.
MSP CR9 staffing levels will not change until next fall when the last 3 airframes come here. There has been no movement of 900 FO's between bases. MEM will start getting airplanes in the late spring, so possibly there might be a MSP CR9 FO that wants MEM. If you are on the CR9 and wanting MSP, you probably should plan on waiting until Fall of 2008 before you will see that move.

Ok thanks. So as a new hire, where do you think they will send the -900 FO's at first, DTW or MEM? How many 900 FO's does DTW plan to have staffed?
Thanks a lot
Thanks a lot

We are staffing DTW now. If you join us in January on the 900, you will be in DTW. DTW is getting 18 CR9's so roughly 90-100 FO's.

Ok cool, thanks. A few more questions... Are you on the 900? What kind of flight case is needed? Is the luggage storage area bigger than the 200? I've read some posts about cases and luggage for the 200, but am curious if the same size is needed in the 900.
All your help is appreciated!

SAAB question:
If hired, Ill choose the SAAB in MEM. As far as ground school goes, how difficult would you say the SAAB ground school (systems) is? I've heard that it's got some pretty complex systems, especially electrical.
I took an advanced aircraft systems class last year but we had the 737 and while I learned a lot, I'm not going to be flying that anytime soon...Is there any info on the net that would be useful to read ahead of time?

Find any generic Saab manual to get up to speed...just don't dig too deep - there may be company-specific items Mesaba wants you to know, as well as other things they may not want you to know at all!
