I talked with a LCA 1.5 weeks ago, he said the wait was about 2 weeks for FO and 3 to 4 weeks for CA.

I had 8 days off but take this advice and check crewweb often. I unfortunately didn't check untill a sunday night and saw that I was supposed to be on reserve monday morning (in a different base too!).

I called up monday morning and said I never got the call which I don't think they believed untill they checked the call logs and saw that I was right. They ended up positive spacing me out there to sit reserve in a hottub in minne for 5 days.

This works when you're on reserve as well. I check crewweb every hour or so and most of the time will find out about a morning assignment at least by midnight the night before. That way when they call at 5am you can just say "still on for the toledo turn...k thanks"

Figure a little over a week... Remember, the more time you have off before IOE, the less time on reserve for the rest of the month!

Know the AIM, know Jepp plates, have good answers to the HR questions (tell me about a time when you disagreed with your boss and how you hadled it . . . .). Be yourself, relax and be interested with a good attitude without trying too hard. It is a great group of people who want you aboard, no one is out to trip you up. I don't know about the sim anymore, when I interviewed it was very simple but I heard they have upgraded it but that is completely unsubstantiated. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely going to study and prepare my butt off for it. I graduate Dec. 15th and HR said that I could have a later date..like the 27th or 28th to interview. So, I should have about two weeks to prepare. My IFR stuff is good, but I've scheduled a couple of Sim/FTD sessions with my old instructors just to make sure I'm on point. Mesaba is my #1 choice because of the MEM base and the opportunity to fly the SAAB. Once again......thanks....

Well, I know that the SAAB is MUCH faster than the Seminole which is the fastest thing i've flown.......(sad but true) But, I think that I'll be able transition well onto it from from talking with current pilots. Plus...I want to fly a TP before I get into a jet anyway.......
