Hey everyone just so you know, there was a guy in my class (9/10 Saab F/O) who was just awarded a CA position. That should give you an idea of how quick things are moving over here

Anyone have a guess or calculation of how many people are elligible for CRJ Captain slots? The only thing I don't know is who is seat-locked and who isn't. By my ESTIMATION:
Sen# 351 and below Saab captains are currently seat locked. Adding all Saab captains and any FO's above 350 with the FO's below #350 (including a factor for those that won't meet ATP mins) there are around 300 people elligible. Anyone else have any guesses?

Yeah sometimes I just say Northwest Airlink, or a subsidiary of Northwest. The worst is when when people confuse Mesaba with Mesa. I go waaay out of my way to correct them. But back to the original point...who comes up with names like Mesaba and Chautauqua?

We have 106 CA's that are not seatlocked (as of a month ago). There are 100 remaining FO's up to 600 on the list. I think we must be around 900 total by now and at a 50% eligible estimate, that gives me about 306. So, that number seems to be pretty close.

Sweet thanks for the info. Looks like I'm going to be in MEM or DTW, anyone have any recommendations between the two basses.

DTW has a much nicer airport, much nicer crew room, the most variety of destinations on the Saab and a good pace to the operation.

In my opinion, MEM airport is a dump, the crew room is a prime example of dumpiness, the flying is boring with only about 13 cities that you will see all of it two trips, lots of productivity breaks between out and backs and a very SLOW pace.

DTW gets my vote, but some people find there niche in MEM. Obviously if MEM is where you live or is an easier commute, then it might be the best choice.
