Quite a lot actually but DO NOT be obnoxious about it. Be a team player and most people seems to be getting the base they want as soon as they finish their training. Upgrade is coming so fast if you are ATP qualified, it does not matter which AC you get assigned unless you have an obsession to fly a particular AC.
Some items to note:
1) If you want to be in DTW or MEM, you do NOT want to be in the CRJ 200. They are all going to MSP. The Saab and CRJ 900 will be in all 3 domiciles.
2) If you have ATP minimums (or an ATP) you will likely be steered towards the Saab as you will likely upgrade to Captain in that aircraft soon.

That was in fact my concern. If the upgrade will take place within 6-12 months, it seems obvious to want to learn the aircraft from the right seat before assuming the responsibility of the left seat. I suppose the upgrades in both RJ's will remain relatively longer until all are in the system.

It appears you are more interested in CRJ upgrades. That being the case, you would be advised to bid for the CRJ CA slot and put Saab CA slot below your present position (FO) when and if you get on board with XJ. Upgrade time in the CRJ slot now is unpredictable at best. Next 2 months will give a better picture.

I will be there on the 29th...I hope all goes well as Mesaba is my number one choice! I got some good info over at mypilotcareer.com. Looks like the normal test, HR/Tech, and sim. Where are you out of? I hope if I get on board that I can get into Detroit. I have lived here my whole life! Also, what were your Hrs at to get the invite? I'm at 940/60 as we speak!

I actually hope to get the Saab anyway! There is something about that plane that just excites me
. Oh well, I will just be happy to make it on board. Good luck to you too, I will see you there.
