To go with the pay argument, people need to post how many hours they credit each month also. Not only does Republic and Endeavor make significantly more per hour than everyone else... I would venture to guess they’re also crediting 5-10 hours more for similar amount of days worked per month.

Greetings everyone on the thread,
I’d like to start off by sharing some information about myself. I’m currently an instructor applying to airlines while working towards my 1500 hours. Living in New York wanting to stay in New York. That being said, I have 3 regionals in mind. Envoy, Skywest and Republic have bases in New York but I understand Envoy isn’t offering the base at this moment. Republic has a base in New York but the ties to the majors aren’t as solid as Envoys. I have also heard that the base for Skywest in New York is not doing so well. I’m having a hard time deciding between the three in order to be able to live in New York with either my base being at home or somewhere relatively easy to commute to and from.
The question would be which airline you guys would recommend that would best benefit someone wanting to live in New York either having to commute or not. (lifestyle over pay)

Republic or Endeavor would be good choices.
I can speak to 9E, you'll be pretty much guaranteed NYC out of training. NYC will be pretty solid for 9E and they perform really well out there. You'll be paid well have a pretty good contract and the chance to interview at Delta. I wouldn't put too much weight on the "career progressions" though when making your decision. 9 year flow vs guaranteed interviews or app reviews it's all iffy anyway.

Typically three day trips I flew as a senior FO were 19-22 hours. I had a four day that was built at 32.5hrs earlier in the year.
A mid seniority three day will credit 15-17hrs

Why in the world would anybody not be able to hold LGA right away? Republic loves to stuff pilots into there just as much as they love to stuff them in ****ty outstation bases like IND and CMH. Need all those pilots to cover the inefficiencies created by having a base with mostly 1 and 2 day trips. Nobody has ever had to wait to get LGA by the time they were out of training.

All the American wholly owneds are no where near that. Your average 3 day is better than our average 4 day. I’m at PSA. That high of kinda of credit exists but it’s extremely rare. I’ve never seen anything over 29 hours and there’s usually only ONE trip maybe two if we’re lucky in each base that’s over 27 hours for a 4 day or 20 hours for a 3 day. I’d say our average 4 day is 19-20 hours and 13-15 for a 3 day. I’ve heard Envoy and especially Piedmont are even worse.
So on average at Republic and Endeavor you’re a going to make about 3 hours more per trip compared to Envoy. On the low end if you do 4 trips a month that comes out to be 12 hours more for the same days worked. For a 5 year captain.... Equal pay rates would give you about $1200 more per month. In reality though, the higher pay rates puts it closer to 1500-2000 or 18k to 24k more a year for same days worked. An FO at Envoy will probably 10k-15k lower. If you want to fly a lot then the difference becomes much greater.
