Last question for the night...why is it that the pilots already with Mesa cannot be blamed for voting in the current crappy working conditions? Why blame new folks for something that is not their fault?

They did that to get freedom from continuing to be something like gojets. Freedom was formed like GoJets but they brought them back on to one seniority list by signing that crappy contract. New Folks are to blame because they are the ones who knowingly go ito it lowering the bar for everyone else. They put up with the abuse. There are man better opportunities if you only wait a few more months. With the attrition at Mesa, they may loose some codeshares because of pilots leaving. Just think if they never went there in the first place.

I am still a lowtimer and will never work fore Mesa or Gojets. But Window, you think i shouldnt apply to others just because you are upset that the industry mins have lowered. BTW i dont graduate for another year anyway just stating my opinion.

I got an Idea, why not create an organization called "everyone a pilot" We all could donate some of our paycheck to ensure anyone who ever looked at a plane or watched top gun could become a professional pilot with ease. We could cut the time in half and reduce the requirements for a commercial license. We could also subsidize the flight schools, to help them advertise how great it is to be a professional pilot. We all knows its way too hard to become a professional pilot right now anyway. Think of how fulfilled you would feel knowing you helped someone’s dream come true.

I think I remember in econ or chem., one of those class's that the more pilots available to fly a plane, and the quicker management can get em the higher the pilot pay will go, cause you have more pilots to negotiate with.

Wow...so really, all you guys with lots of hours think low hour pilots are just absolute sh*t. I get it. Well guess what guys, you used to be a low time pilot too. Why do you guys have to constantly clown on everyone with less hours than you?

"you used to be a low time pilot too"

Yeah, and I didn't run around telling high time pilots they had no idea what they were talking about, either. That's what always cracks me up about these discussions.

"Why do you guys have to constantly clown on everyone with less hours than you?"

It's called expressing an opinion. That's what internet message boards are all about.

Well I've never told anyone that they didn't know what they were talking about....
I have 400TT. If someone with 800TT tells me I don't know anything and don't belong in an RJ, but they do because they're soo much more qualified....then hell yes I'll go in discussion.
If someone now with 1500-2000TT tells me the same thing, I will express my opinion differently. Obviously.
But truth be told....I'll listen to anyone that think they can teach me something. Whether it's someone with 5000 hours or 100hours. I could always learn something I did not know from someone...

Sure it's called an opinion.....but how far could you go with a negative opinion?
