WHEN YOU HAVE A FAMILY, MONEY WILL be the difference between your little angels going to a public school infested with scum, drugs, gangs etc or a private school where kids are disiplined and are well raised by good parents and come home from school everyday. that is reality, not having your "dreamjob".

Your pathetic. Listen to yourself. I am not the one being rediculous. If anything I am very rational. I have seen both sides of society too. Spent 4 years in the US Marines and saw plenty of unfortunate young men that had no choice but the armed forces. They were some of the best men I have known, but I am sure they wouldn't rate in your world. I bet you look down all servicemen , don't you. because they went to publiuc schools and makes 1200.00 a month. Your a sad person, who gives a f u #$ what your avatar pic looks like, you have a poor sense of judgemnet on people. I 'm done with this BS, your not worth the finger movement on my keyboard.

I really don't care about the money. A recent survey found that the happiest people in their jobs were in this order: Clergy, Firefighters, and Ticket/Reservation Agents (not making that one up). Nobody in those professions makes a lot of money. Money cannot buy happiness. I know doctors who make $300,000+ a year and are absolutely miserable. I want a career that I can wake up to everyday and look forward to going to work whether I'm an airline pilot, doctor, garbage man, etc. Life is too short to be miserable in a job everyday. For me, a career as an airline pilot one job that may fit into that category for me. I can't see myself sitting behind a desk all day reading reports, responding to emails, doing spread sheets, etc.. How boring does that sound? I see that all in the airline industry is not fun and games as most people believe. I'm not blinded by the aura of being an airline pilot as not to see the negatives the job entails. All jobs do have their negatives. I guess the bottom line is...Did you/Do you, even though you were/are making crumbs at a regional, still looked/look forward to flying every day? I appreciate all the responses. Everyone has been very helpful.

And about the public/private school thing...I went to a very prestigious private school in my area. The education I got was second to none. I mean my high school classes were harder than some of my college classes. As far as the drugs, alcohol, tobacco use, and sex go, my school was just as bad, if not worse, than the public schools just down the road. Private may mean your child getting a better education, but it means nothing in regards to discipline, etc..
