I'm in the CRJ class on May 7. I"m really excited about it. I had to wait for six months cause I didn't get it the first time. But patience pays off.
I'm hoping to be based in either SLC or ORD. Currently I live in Michigan so I'll probably move to either one. Where are you based out of? I need help trying to figure out where to go.

You will probably have a good chance at getting based in ORD, MKE, DEN, or SLC depending on your seniority ranking in class. They do it by the last 4 # of your SSN. It will already be decided for you by the first day. If you in front of the classroom you will be in the top or at the end if your seat is in the back of the room. You will have a few days in class to figure out what bases are JR and to submit your choice of bases. It changes month to month depending on need of the company.
I am currently in the last week of gnd school for the EMB and they haven't awarded our bases yet, but we should find out here by the end of the week after bidding for May has closed. Good Luck and if you have question let me know. It will be good to have some more people behind me in seniority. (Ha...HA)! I believe they have an EMB class starting the same day so there will be a packed house.

i should probably be in the middle somewhere. 4's I'm not sure what I want the order of my pick though. Definately not MKE. I was up there a month or so ago and it's not the area I'd like to be at. Nothing against anyone who likes it up there it's just not me.
I think either SLC or ORD. I can't decided which one I want.
Anyway good luck on your bids and I probably will see you if you get SLC based. Peace brother

Funny enough, there were 4 new hires in my initial that started with 00. Imagine being the 4th, he thought he'd be #1 just to find out there were 3 ahead of him. My number begins with a 1 and I was ninth out of 25 with the middle of the class being in the 3's. You just never know how the cards will fall.

A friend of mine should be in your initial class, he's in the 3's.

Hows IOE and the jet going for you? Seem like yesterday you were on here talking about going your interview and then on to vacation. Have fun in MKE! You will be close to my homeland and I will be sweating it out in FAT (accept in the FTD) and LA. Good luck!

It's a bit of a challenge, but fun. It will take a year or more to get fully comfortable in, I think.

It all is just zipping along. I should be done with IOE in the beginning of May, and I'm looking forward to getting some solid experience flying the plane.
