Default Republic mins

ATP's website has a fairly new letter of agreement with Republic. It states that applicants who have completed the Regional Jet program can apply with 500/100. It then says that all other applicants can apply with 800/250. It was shocking because Republic has always been one to be firm on their mins. I'm guessing the 800/250 mins are only for ATP pilots? I haven't heard of these mins anywhere else.

Comair's letter of agreement is comical, because it states that applicants who complete the Regional Jet program can apply with a minimum of 600 hours. I guess I better rush to this program so I can interview with a minimum of 600 hours

yeah you should hold off and wait to go to RAH, so when they buy Comair, you will be on top. And its always better to pitch than catch right ASA!

And this surprises you why again? They only need about 700 pilots, with all the other regionals hiring, I don't think they can get very picky anymore.

It surprises me because Republic is one of the good airlines that many people are willing to hold out for or jump ship to. They offer quick upgrades and bonuses to pilots qualified in the 145. I would jump ship if I was at a dead end regional.

A 24 month upgrade today does not guarantee a 24 month upgrade 2 years from now...

Unlike most other regionals, RAH is still turning away applicants who aren't qualified. It's not a definite job by any stretch of the imagination.

...and that's a good thing by all means. But they're also cancelling flights due to crew shortage, and playing musical crews between the systems. So again, qualified applicants yes, picky about times....I don't think they have that luxury anymore.

Good Afternoon,

Has anyone been through the RJ program at ATP? Any feedback would be appreciated.

V/R,
