Wow, there it is, can’t get any lower. Now who is going to instruct the 250 hrs required for a commercial. Flight schools are going to have to pay a lot more to keep cfi's around. This will increase the cost for training which will be passed along to the student. The extremely high cost to rent an instructor coupled with rising fuel costs will further hinder anyone in there right mind from coming into aviation. Looks like the market will finally start to slow the supply and force the airlines to pay more.
This will be interesting.

PERFECT!!! Their mins have hit rock bottom. Now what??? If they continue to have a pilot shortage, they have no choice but to raise pay (or give up some flying). We are already seeing new hires bonuses at Mesa/Republic. Next step may be an increase in pay to attract new pilots.

Funny thing is you just know some low guys are going to jump all over this. DON'T TAKE THE BAIT. Those low numbers may look exciting and awesome to you but in reality they are just trying to reel you in and turn your head away from better opportunities that aren't that far off from your grasp.
I'll reiterate what someone else said a while back - "I wouldn't have the b@lls to apply for an airline job with those hours".
I want to instruct before I even think about that. If you have to teach it, you have to know it.

Dude to this day I still don't understand their setup......I came in with my private single, had to do a worthless (waste of money) familiarization course in the single, then they do the private multi, then the IRA, then the comm stuff.
(I left after a year...too much money)
