Yea I am sure that a few Eastern guys landed on their feet but most did not do so well. The crazy guy who fueled planes for minimum wage at the FBO I trained at was an Eastern Airlines captain.

I may be wrong about Flying Tigers but I thought that most of those guys were pushed out.

I would keep your glass full and thank your lucky stars. It is no fun to be kicked to the curb. I am sure it would be much more painful to fall from such grace as UAL.

[QUOTE=SkyHigh;142493]Your story isn't over yet. Lets all say a prayer tonight and hope that karma isn't coming your way.

My karma is fine, thank you. I know that wherever my "story" ends up, I made it to the dance, and I danced.

FEDEX MAYBE!!!
Perhaps I remembered that wrong. As a private pilot in training there was this lonely guy who would come out to the airport and watch the planes all day. Finally I approached him and introduced myself. He told me that he was laid off from Flying Tigers and was then unemployed. He came to the airport because he didn't know what else to do with himself. Sound familiar?

I always assumed that those guys were all pushed out of the job.

Glad to see SkyHigh's attitude helps those who are already there continue to stay motivated. I wonder how many major guys need the constant lecture about counting your chickens...gimme a break.

"SkyHigh's opinions are very valuable..."

I used to think so too...

But after he said he feels F/O's don't have an important job.

That time as a CFI isn't worthy to the career.

And that being a Jetblue or Frontier Capt isn't worth his time.

I now have less than zero respect for him.

If you don't feed the troll, maybe he'll go away....

I missed that one. When did he say that?
Kind of humorous.

"My "unanswered prayer" was that I didn't pursue a job at Frontier, Gemini or JetBlue"

That's Skyhigh opining on why he was glad he made the personal decision to get out of aviation as opposed to being at Jetblue or Frontier.

I don't make this stuff up.

Stop feeding the troll...

I always wonder that if someone else other than skyhigh made these post whether they would receive a warmer reception. Kill the messenger I guess, just a humble observation.
