The person who had to clean up your incompetence probably was not the same person who cleaned your room originally.

It's really simple...
This really is The. Easiest. Job. In. The. World. Relax, fly the airplane safely and professionally, have a little fun from time to time, and don't let the whiners get you down.
If you don't believe me, try sitting in a grey cubicle for a couple decades. Heck, even a couple of weeks. You'll realize pretty fast just how good we pilots have it.

Yea time away from home sucks, Christmas sucks, scheduling time with friends sucks, sims suck, but the rest of it is really, really good.

On the shower note...
Don’t be a &ick and intentionally soak the bathroom. However if you’re in a a dry climate (especially in the winter in Canada) and are used to a more humid setting (Gulfport in July) after you get settled in your room, turn the shower on full blast hot (again in the spirit of not being &ickish, make sure the splatter is not getting outside the tub). After 10 min of this, your skin will thank you and you won’t re-enact Tesla ever time you slid in/out of bed.
