Avoid any airline which has feed/codeshare with yours. Even if they may not be technically supposed to use the system for that, assume your managers have full access to all revenue and nonrev pax data for partner airlines. And access to all nonrev data period.

Except SWA. No regional feed, no domestic codeshare that I'm aware of.

Either I'm staying at all the right or all the wrong hotels because I've never had this issue anywhere I've stayed at my shop. Except for one time when we stayed at a "backup" hotel due to an IROP. And said "backup" hotel shouldn't even be allowed to be used as a backup. That got a little dicey...

Either way, it's better to err in being too early to the lobby rather than too late. No one wants to be the guy that everyone in the van is waiting for. Makes the whole crew look bad.

They tend to put the crews on first and then the tourists... Tourists get mad about that but it is what it is.

The one time I was in the situation of more van riders than seats that's what happened, but everyone was still outside the van when the driver called the crews in first. But if people are already in, I don't imagine the driver pulling anyone out.

Either way, don't bring it to a razor's edge. Show up early.

Read Fate is the Hunter by Gann if you haven’t. Some ideas and philosophies for being a pilot then and now are outdated. Example, get a seniority number and hold on it. (Think we are done w mergers in the big leagues. Worked well for the Air Tramp pilots.) Also, 4 day follies by Pilot X. Skydrol should never be used as body wash... as far as the advice about Fas/drinking and hote bars. It’s all really good.

Remember TEM from the moment you check in until you Check out. I’m guilty of it all... started at a regional when I was 23 so it was just a continuation of college for me. Played ball in college and Jersey Chasers were ducks on pond... times are different since then as well. Reason it’s a 12 hour rule at most regionals instead of 8. I have no problem going out w the crew on overnights. But, I’ve seen how it’s done right and how it’s gone epically bad. Most majors have fixed this issue for you now. Different hotels different crews. Okay, I could go one forever. I’ll leave you w this last one...
DO NOT TELL people at a bar you’re a pilot. If it slips you work for Delta... My go to after meeting Balzer in my Jump. I know.. pre merger... Come up w a story. Mine is Used Furniture Insurance Salesmen so don’t poach it. Have it perfected!
If you’re responsible and don’t try and put shady moves behind the company you will be aces. Stay off their radar if you’re gonna be a cowboy.

Right!? I'm confused...

Don't be afraid to have dinner and a beer at the hotel bar! they often offer discounts for crews. Just don't go crazy and get hammered!
