The legal standard for documents is to use ink. If you really want to be technical, a document proof ink should be used.

While that may be a "standard" there are no regulations that require that under USC 49 or title 14.

My question is, will this possibly be an issue for someone who is interviewing me? Should I change the entries to ink?

All the individual flights are in ink, but I don't want someone to show me the door for something silly like using pencil in a logbook.

TIA.
Simple. I use erasable pens on all sections. Starting using them about three years ago. Three interviews so far and it hasn't been an issue. Doubt they even knew it was erasable pen, or cared.

Speak for yourself. My logbooks are orderly, well-written, same ink throughout. Minimal mistakes and kept in fairly good repair. I would suspect the condition of the logbooks and their accuracy speak to the nature of the individual.

Be careful with erasable pens, they don't handle heat well.

Thank you for all the responses. I think I should be okay as things sit.

Being on hiring committees before I always thought having a very well put together lookbook speaks volumes. Things do happen but try to keep your logbooks neatly organized. As to ink or pencil? I myself prefer ink.
