Which Company to Go To?
#11
Endeavor will not DH you to work, only now as of January if you miss two flights to base, pretty much like most other places, however they will positive space you Home if your last leg is a deadhead and it’s one leg I.e your schedule says DH MSP to LGA, they will do MSP to GRB etc, they won’t do say a DH from GRB to MSP and then a DH to FAR after that last DH leg

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your help, and it has been a huge help.
Were your opinions different before the Endeavor TA? Let's pretend everything was the same as it were a week ago. Which one would you have chosen then? The reason I ask is because it will be at least a year before I can transition into the regionals from my current job. So there maybe a slight chance other contracts will change before then because of Endeavor's upper hand. So each company maybe more similarly comparable to one another in a couple of years as they were pre-TA.
Just a thought, and I'm just curious of what you all have to say too.

If you are a year out, I wouldn't be stressing too much about this. Just a couple years ago, everyone was fleeing Endeavor like it was a sinking ship. Hundreds of 8-9 year FOs were leaving. Now, Endeavor has an almost immediate upgrade and is filling classes again with great pay and benefits.
The industry will look very different 1 year from now. I would pay very close attention to what is happening in the next 12 months, and go from there.
Some airlines are growing, while others are shrinking. There will likely be a couple airlines that will barely be holding on a year from now, while others are thriving.

I hope Republic management sees this and realizes they don’t have long to come up with something big for us. I’m glad to see EDV get a deal they liked and hopefully Republic will be next. We can all pull each other upward.

As the many posters have said, an lot can happen in a year. As you get close to that point, an airline you might consider that was not on your list is PSA. The only reason I say this, is you mentioned you wanted to be home often. With our current scheduling system we have a tool called SAP (schedule adjustment period), which basically let's you tailor your schedule to your liking. If you want weekends off you can do that. If you want to be home more, adjust your schedule to fly the minimum amount of hours (65 is the minimum) in the least amount of days. It's possible to get 18 days or more off. Again, anything can happen in a year, and our SAP is currently being considered in negotiations in the future for other QOL enhancements. Good luck with your choice.

I don’t see it happening anytime soon. We’re a privately held company now, and the legacies have much more influence then 2015. They (AA, DL, UA) own over 60 percent of the company. AA alone owns 25 percent of RJET, and they have plenty of WOs to fly their EJETs. They will keep us around, but I suspect we will be the whipsaw in a few years.
