MESABA Vacancy

Paok...be yourself...relax. Study the AIM...STUDY THE AIM...STUDY THE AIM!!! If you can get your hands on it look over the ILS rwy 6 ISP. Know the systems of the airplanes you are currently flying inside and out. It was a very painless process, I have to say.

Seriously don't memorize the ILS 6 approach. It's not the same, it's made up. if you memorize the wrong approach and don't fly what is handed to you in the interview, well you dug your own grave. You will get plenty of time to study the approach plate during the interview process. Just have a good scan, know how to fly any ILS, how to enter and fly a hold, and you will do fine.
Know your aim, have a good attitude, think safety. Ask questions, anything you want to know they will answer and if they don't have the answer they will gladly find out for you.

I didnt get that approach. I got an approach to teteboro. I was the only that didnt get the white plains approach, but I had a walk in...i think they might have been f@@@@@@ with me. The AIM isnt going to help you on the interview, only personal experiences, and the written test isnt anything to lose sleep over. Good luck to you though

I interviewed with Skyway a few months ago as well, and left the interview with a sour taste in my mouth. I feel that Mesaba would be a much better fit for me; did the online app last week (670/65). I'm hoping I hear something soon.

I guess they do change the approaches from time to time...I was expecting HPN or TEB and got ISP. The formula seems to be flying an ILS to mins, going missed and doing either the published or ATC-directed hold for the missed. As for the AIM, on the test I took many questions specifically said "according to the AIM..." so I recommend studying it. The interview with HR and the CP has much more to do with your personality, leadership skills and work experience...they just want to get to know you in about 45 mins of conversation. That was my experience. Good luck to anyone going to interview.

Did you just send in your resume or is there somewhere to apply online? I've looked over the mesaba.com website and can't find anywhere on there to apply or an email address to send a resume
