Sarcasm if you missed it
PSA is filling classes with no trouble at all, and has people waiting to come here.

And as far as QOL goes, let me know if every FO that has been with your company less than a year has Thanksgiving and Christmas off. That is a pretty good test of a good QOL. Every FO that started before March of this year will have Christmas off if they want it (and started 3-4 months later in 3 of our bases).

Thanks for the replies...I REALLY like the idea of the SAP at PSA. Honestly, QOL and upgrade time are the 2 most important things to me. The money is also important, but I want to be able to have a good schedule too. Basically it seems like the better $$$$ is at Endeavor but the better QOL is at PSA...please correct me if I'm wrong. BTW I will either be commuting out of BHM or HSV.

I am pointing out the idiotic idea that you think people should go to PSA for a potential LOA but avoid Endeavor because there is “no” quality of life. You don’t even try to provide facts or an example. Try providing information next time. More points if it makes sense, I still don’t know what you are trying to say in your last sentence.

That's an unreasonable statement to lead someone with. I doubt you maintained that throughout your time there as an FO.
Obviously if it was your first month then they hired well and there weren't enough block hours to award everyone a full schedule and you got a win.

PSA QOL is more than max days off, its a generous trip trading system that allows you to move trips for your kids games, or family events or whatever most pilots are use to missing anyway.

Your TA is very impressive but PBS with a 4 hour minday is no where near QOL the vast majority of PSA pilots enjoy.

I think you have your head around it pretty good. They're both the only two companies I'd be looking at if I were commuting from Alabama, and really your first year is small potatoes with pay.
PSA is $38 +10k+ 10k, 9E is $51 I think on the 2 plus 10K.
So your looking at a $3 decision year one, which is further negated by PSA commuter hotels, which I think 9E doesn't have.
Year 2 they may pull away, I'am not sure but you'll get $2 bucks at PSA and commuter hotel benefit will go down as you can bid commutable trips.
Don't really get sucked into their 900 rates because if you want off rsv you'll need to bid the 2 and be seatlocked for 18 months. You may get 6 months on the 9 before your upgrade back to the 2 is awarded.
Once you upgrade they really leave PSA in the dust on rates, but the big 3 will be hireing huge in 2 years. Also their growth relies on the 200's hanging around, AA is in the process of dumping 70 200s right now so a further large reduction is less probable.

If you have a squeaky clean record on every front I'd roll the dice and go PSA.
If you have some light undesirables on your furture applications then I'd go to 9E.

Can you explain this part? Not sure I understand.

Also, if you are comparing pay rates 3-5 years down the road, you are in the wrong industry. Regional pay rates have been changing every 6-9 months. The industry will look completely different in 3 years.

Yeah, I think he meant the opposite.

I was just noting that Endeavors CA rates in their TA are significantly better than PSA.
If it takes 2 years to upgrade and your a CA for a year the the lost income is negligible.
If your a CA for 2-5 years then it's a substantial amount of money to leave on the table.
The PSA flow was not mentioned because it would be useless to a new hire, it's only 72 per year if AA runs a class every month which won't always happen since some months have 2 classes and some have 0. So, your hired at number 1,500 and at 72 per year you can see it will take a while. I don't know much about Endeavors program but either way I wouldn't use them as a deciding factor.
Life tends to happen in the mean time. So if you don't reasonably think you'll be out in a year as a CA then you need to really weigh Endeavors much higher CA pay.

My latest tin foil hat theory is Delta buys Compass, returns the AE planes to Envoy.
Delta declines to renew Gojet CPA and planes go to Endeavor.
AA declines to renew TSA AE CPA and the planes go to Piedmont or Envoy. TSA keeps the United birds and merges with Commutair.
Gojet folds completely and United birds go to ASA/XJT or Skywest.

Good evening. I'm prepping to join the game in November. Based of your comments above, it raised a question. Is there a website/forum listing the various Regionals and when their current contracts were signed, or coming due?
