Pinnacle upgrade now below a Year
The latest vacancy was awarded today and the lowest # was 1017. This number will fluctuate up and down but we have a lot of low time fo/s and a lot of people who dont want to upgrade during the summer. It could get all the way to the bottom of the list soon.

3000 tt is required to upgrade if you have 500 in type. They have hired so many low time fos in the past that they are going way down the list to find people who have the required time. Take myself for example. i was hired with 1100 hours in october of 05, I now have 2400 tt. Upgrade is below me on the seniority list by almost 200 numbers. As soon as I hit 3000 tt I will be able to upgrade. I probably wont have to sit reserve at this point either

Good point. Sure makes for a strange mix of FOs flying with Captains that are hundreds of numbers below then in seniority. Seems like a newly hired FO with 3000 TT and 500 might begin upgrading shortly after being hired.

yes you can do that. If you came here with 2500 hours, flew 500 in the right seat you could upgrade when you had the 3000. The thing is your seniority is your seniority, so if the guy that has been waiting for 2 or 3 years to upgrade finally does, his seniority is still better than the guy that upgrade almost immediatly after he was hired. its almost like being a street captain. you will probably be on reserve for 2 years while all the fo's ahead of you upgrade and push you down the bid list.... and no there is no dispalcement, you just get moved down. and in mem anyway they had more lines than fo's and capts to fill them.

That's what happens when the captains actually want to go somewhere else and make a career for themsevles, instead of sitting left seat in the CRJ their entire career (which may or may not pan out at a small 70 aircraft regional).

(I think you work for awac, if not nevermind)
