What is a "regional"
#61
Says who though? Management? Up untill a year or two ago you would have been laughed at if you said one will make 60 to 80k first year at a regional. It was the norm to get paid 25 bucks an hour. Now obviously we see that they could have paid way more. I just feel like most are just blindly following this im in the "minors" mentality and have to go through it? But why?? You do the same thing as the other guy. There's nothing entry level about it.

I read most of the posts and you got typical idiotic pilot talking points. I will tell you why. From the guy that is shaking in his boots about to start ioe in a crappy 18 year old broken RJ to the rich fat 777 CA at Delta playing with his rancher mustache, pilots are pretty stupid. The reason why is they are addicted to the flying and have no other skills. Yes they have no real useful skills in the real world so they are very afraid and protective of the job. This the reason why management wins every single solitary time. It's pretty easy to control the crack addict by dangling or taking away their crack. No alpa or other union can match this force.
Now a six figure job with 18 days off per month....That's hard to find outside of airlines regardless of who you are.

Speak for yourself, and maybe some riddle grads. The majority of civilian pilots I fly with have marketable skills other than flying, and essentially all military pilots of today's era are marketable (they have special job fairs for ex military officers).
