ASA and Express Jet News
Anyone hear the latest on ASA and Express Jet Minimums? I know ASA still has their mins at 600 and 100, but since the aquisition from Skywest, will it stay the same and are they still actively hiring? How 'bout Express Jet...still 600 and 100?

Does anyone have some experience with ASA as a new hire, that they would share with an aspiring ASA FO? How long are most folks staying on reserve? Has SLC become the junior base? I'd much prefer to stay in ATL, but I don't have a clue on what to expect. Thanks for any help in advance.

I was an intern at ASA last spring. Most are being hired into the CRJ-200 with about 1 a class going to the ATR. Junior base right now is ATL since SLC only has the CRJ-700's. When I left reserve on the CRJ was about 3-4 months. That may have changed since I left.

As a Mesaba pilot, I'm curious about the Skywest purchase of ASA. I haven't followed much of it, other than the press announcements. Will Skywest eventually absorb ASA and become one company? If so, how will pilot seniority pan out? Will ASA folks get the shaft end of the deal merging with a non-ALPA list? How is the ASA MEC handling this, on top of negotiating a new contract? Good luck ASA folks.

ASA does, I have a couple of guys in my class now that have just a little over 600 hrs. I think if your on top of your game when you show up for the interview they treat you like anyone else. Good luck.

I interviewed on Oct. 12 and recieved a letter placing me in the pool. Does anyone (Cheesehead13) know what the plans for class dates are? Right now I am commuting from ATL to LGA for my current job and I just want to be at ASA ASAP so I can quit this communting crap. Any info at all would be great!
