You don't get a base until you're in systems training. Look at what equipment is in your base (for DC or PIT you need to 170...for LGA you want the 145) and go for that. Once you're on the equipment, you can bid your way back to base. Everything except LGA on the 145 would be pretty reasonable to hold in 1-2 months.
