colgan job offer

I guess what it all boils down to is that we work like slaves with a pole shoved up our kiesters, the unfortunate part is that the higher ups know this and take advantage, thus we have (or don't) have unions. However for a guy like me, with a 5 month old daughter, just barely surviving needs a job that has benefits. I have enough time to go to Comair and have a good shot at an interview, if it happens in the next 2 weeks because Colgan placed me in their mar 9th class. I don't have quite the hours to go to Eagle, they contacted me and told me I need the mins of 800, im just shy @ 720. What it all boils down to is that I will work like a slave with a pole shoved up my kiester if it comes down to it. How long of a contract do they make you sign? I mean all in all, is it a good place to get some experience, with benefits, and move on? Anything would beat flight instructing! Lay it on me brothers!

I believe I am "entitled" to break whatever contract I want to, that is why they have penalties. I just thought saab might have gotten away with it thats all. I am now entitling myself to end this message and go to sleep.

Heres the deal, they will not be able to win in a lawsuit unless they have sued everybody who has broken it, and they havent. I have a lawyer in the family, so heres how it went down. They sent me a "certified" letter saying I owe them the remainder of the training contract, They also kept my last paycheck which they said they "applied" to the contract, well that is illegal. My lawyer spoke with their lawyer and basically the deal was I let them keep my last paycheck, and that was it, besdies they realize I had no money so what was the point of taking me to small claims court, for what $2,000 dollars?
