I didn't say it was.

Then I'm confused. You said, "Without it, you are just a guy with an ID that COULD be counterfeit." What was "without it" referring to if not the KCM card?

I hear ya.

Credentials and a pilot uniform - I can magically carry oversize cans of shaving cream and bottles of water and walk right through security.

Same Exact Credentials and no uniform - I go to the regular line, get patted down, the agent throws away half my sundries (yes, totally my fault), etc, etc

The biggest reason it is all a total joke is - while traveling over the holidays I inadvertently left my pocket knife in my back pack while in civvies. I made it through security FOUR times with a pocket knife and NO credentials at all (new hire that didn't even have company ID yet) yet with credentials and no uniform I've been singled out Every. Single. Time. but yea thanks TSA lady for saving everyone's life because my shaving cream that was 2 oz over the limit

My guess is that the lack of liquid exemptions when out of uniform is to prevent the other passengers from seeing excess liquids being allowed through for what looks to them like an ordinary passenger. Similar to the non-rev leggings misunderstanding that started that whole social media storm.

Oh, I understand I was totally in the wrong with the sundries.

When you do the same exact thing though but the only difference is you are in uniform with the same exact credentials it is pretty silly at best... is what it is...

As far as what people see, unless they have xray vision they shouldn't have any idea what is inside my shave bag which is inside my luggage.... that's another topic

Sundries, like raisins or orange slices? How is that not allowed by TSA?

Your use of "and KCM card" in the same breath as "my company ID" belies the fact that you do not understand what is involved in the whole Known CrewMember program.

I know for a FACT that Company ID cards are easy to counterfeit. I know for a FACT that KCM cards are not controlled, and can be easily counterfeited. Flashing either one or both means NOTHING.

Again, you clearly don't not understand KCM.

And yet, they gave you a card.
