What I'm curious about though is what will Silver do now. I was under the impression that they were really betting the house on Cuba which is why they left all of the EAS flying up north.

Once they build up the "tourist infastructure" i.e Sandals builds some resorts down there the capacity will pick back up. Most people probably don't want to jump though hoops of getting a visa and dealing with that whole process just to stay in a typical Cuban hotel that hasn't seen a renovation since 1968.
One day you will fly over Varadero and will understand Western European havent been waiting to flock in there.

I've seen rapid tourist growth in the Dutch Antilles and it frankly sucks. The islands are getting overcrowded and more Americanized. Hopefully my favorite island is the last to get touched.
