Ok how about we cut this bs right here. The guy is asking for some advice. Let him ask the damm question if you don't want to reply then don't @ucking do it. When you were in his shoes I bet you were asking questions too. Now that you got in how about helping someone out. And for the OP at envoy the quality of life is not bad if you live in base. I suggest piedmont.

What exactly does Skywest have over PDT, other than base options?
PDT's compensation is, what, 1.5x higher?
Similar upgrade time (if starting from minimum)
Has flow, if that's your thing
Full guarantee during training, unlike SkyWest's reduced guarantee.
Single occupancy rooms
4 rooms paid for a month
Tuition Reimbursement
Judging by the tone of your post, you think SkyWest is quite superior. But really, SkyWest has bases. And that's important to some people, surely. But the original comment was that if you don't care about bases, PDT is the way to go.
Or maybe I'm missing something that makes SkyWest the clear choice over those? If so, please, do explain.

Good management is hard to come by. Yes an AA wholy owned is a good place to go, but why do the Original Eagle pilots seem to have a chip on their shoulder, as well as seem to be willing to bypass their flow given an opportunity at DL or UA? I'm not saying that an AA wholy owned is a bad choice in this market, but if the music stops or something worse would you prefer to work at an airline that has never furloughed, or end up on the street? AE now Envoy has furloughed, around 2012 when all the others were hiring.

PDT has the most potential, hired in October, 24% up the master seniority list already, top ~17% isn't flowing, as of next month the number of pilots flowing per month will be 2 more than when hired, and these trends will continue for a long time since we are not even close to company announced goals which I'm sure will be even larger next year.
The fast flow ship has sailed. PDT pilot group is selling their flow harder than Envoy recruiters. They just want you to boost the pyramid scheme they have going. Also, their predictions are based off massive hiring, attrition, and AA hiring 12 months out of the year.
Also, PDTs schedules are even worse than Envoy. Never thought that was possible.
