Good Day,

I personally commuted to Endeavor for about 7-8 months before finally moving my family and myself up to a base for better home time. The commute was similar to yours, 1 leg and about two hours total. It was typically a non-event, first class or business class on Delta metal...otherwise at the front of Spirit or United. I commuted to reserve and made it work for a while. The number 1 reason I chose Endeavor was for the balance of QOL and $. I have a wife and two children so being able to provide a comfortable lifestyle(single family income) is of high importance.

No one on here knows your situation as well as you. If money is not high on the list then PSA, in base, will be your best bet. If you have a family to feed, the money sure does talk.

Best of luck!

Sorry to bring light on an old thread - but quick question. Right out of training for PSA, is it possible to just go immediately to CLT and sit reserve? I understand reserve will be a longer commitment versus a more junior base, but is this possible? Reason being - I live in CLT. I have a house 20 minutes from the airport... Oh, and I have a class date with PSA in August. Jumping from the corporate side of things to try my hand in 121.

You most likely will not get CLT right out of training.. plan atleast 6 months of SCR elsewhere.

At most he'll spend a couple months elsewhere. The most junior CLT FO is a May 2016 hire, effective in Sept. After getting through IOE, it won't be long at all.

If you can live in base, do it.

Oh wow so that MAY 16 new hire will probably sit one month of SCR elsewhere and can probably TDY to CLT as they need people badly there.

If scheduling is feeling nice they might let you sit reserve in CLT even if you're based elsewhere. They did this for me after I upgraded.
