I get a better schedule every month with line bidding + SAP than I would at any other regional out there with my longevity. The airlines that pay more than PSA and also have 2.5 year upgrades use schedule bidding systems with lower QOL. QOL is just as important as my W2 and I can live with slightly less money at the end of the year if it means better schedule flexibility and overall QOL. The SAP could be a heck of a lot better, but even in it's current state, I still see a huge benefit from it. Others might not, but I make it work every month.

But no one hired today that wants a CLT base will be able to take advantage of the SAP for at least 18 months. I make it work for me, too, but in Charlotte this month, we has FOs that were hired in February of 2015 that were still in round 2. That is 16 months on reserve and the SAP not working at all for them. It will continue to get worse.

Just because PSA worked out for you doesn't mean that it will be a good place for others.

I want bigger new hire classes so the FOs I fly with on reserve start holding lines and the more senior line holders upgrade. I want to see things improve for my FOs and an increase of pilots coming in the door benefits everyone. You are complaining about issues that are a direct result of less hiring. If you want PSA to hire less pilots, you are indirectly asking for worse QOL for your fellow FOs. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what we say on these boards to scare people off or invite them over, economic forces will decide the future and that's a great for the labor.

Ah. So you are selling a pyramid scheme. The only good thing that we have is only available to the most senior people. Got it.

I would prefer to see improvements for everyone in the company. Flow at 10% of the company or more per year. Better reserve rules - the the ones that we have actually enforced.

Fix the min day carveouts.
Fix the open time pay.
Fix the critical pay.
Fix the schedules. (4 hour layovers in the middle of the day are the new norm)
Retention bonuses for all employees.

If you pick up open time at the other WO companies, how much are you paid? 200%? 300%? At PSA, it is 125%.

It seems that AA isn't quite sure yet, or hasn't revealed their plan for the future of the wholly owned trio. If you can use any of them to advance your career great, if not go somewhere else. Just remember their goal is to use as much up of you as they can.

Clt guy guess what? Nobody cares about your struggles.

Wasn't it a year ago you were boasting about how great things are at PSA. The sjs finally wear off? Realized how bad the PSA contract is? Been beat up on RSV?

Ahh its too bad they voted that crap in, looks like you'll have to deal the crap hand you voted in.

Just to clarify NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR 1ST YEAR STRUGGLES.

Actually, none of those are my struggles. I am a line holder. I can choose whatever schedule I want with the SAP.

I am concerned for new guys that are coming on board. The ones that don't have it as good as I do, and likely won't for another 2-3 years.

If followed, our contract is pretty decent. We would have the highest paid pilots in the industry if our Critical Pay worked as it is supposed to. Hopefully it will be back to normal when the arbitration is over. Every line holder will credit over 150 hours a month if they work the system.

Just to clarify: You don't know what the ******** you are talking about. The "crap we voted in" has not ONE SINGLE THING to do with ANY of the issues he mentioned. In reality he wants the company to actually follow the contract that we have. You know, that "crap hand" that made us the second highest paying regional in 2014.

You must work at a good regional though.....

So... What you're saying is since the TA you voted in concessions to get you to where you are now? Or is it that you trusted management to do the right thing when you voted in weak language?
