Here's the facts: We are in negotiations. Our MEC is pushing this fee for departure national agenda to be included in our new contract. We will have to give some things up to get it in. The PSA pilot group has already said that they don't want it. We could care less. We are not willing to give up other things to get it. We would rather have better pay and work rules. That is hard enough to get. The point is that our MEC is ignoring our needs and proceeding forward with what ALPA national wants, and not what we want. We need new leaders that will fight for PSA pilots, not their own interests and ALPA national.

Agreed. but I have not seen the proof that they ARE pushing the FFD agenda. Only that certain pilots at PSA have played linguistic gymnastics to turn it into a FFD agenda. The negotiations have been sidetracked by personal vendettas against people and therefore have lost sight of the main goal. How can negotiations take place if the MEC (Which I agree is lost in its own right) is having to fight the pilot group as well as management and no one REALLY knows if the whole FFD thing truly is going on? They went to a meeting or two about FFD. I agree it's a terrible idea but I haven't seen on any official ALPA board or in any text, that it is being negotiated into our contract. Maybe a little of it is me being bitter because my furloughed brothers and sisters are the forgotten stepchildren of this in-fighting at PSA, but the reality is that the only real losers in this will be the line pilots when their contract sucks because they were too busy fighting the FFD Boogy Man. And then they'll just blame it on the old/new/future guard.

Im not trying to be rude but you are here talking about this pilot group is a joke and they do nothing but kick themselves in the groin...I really dont understand the hostility towards the pilot group. From what it sounds like from my many many sources, M Stanley and his MEC of goons have consistantly pulled the wool over the pilot groups eyes, hell this election today is a perfect example. So it wouldnt suprise me at all that you are as confused about this FFD as everyone else. Rest assure Mark Stanley has proven over and over that he is not at all about this pilot group and is completely about a national agenda for ALPA, so with that being said if i had money to bet on the subject i would certainly bet that he is pushing this FFD as hard as he can, whether it be behind closed doors or not.

Now, i would suggest leaving the hostility, for one its not helping anything whatsoever. I would completely agree with you that if the pilot group knows these things and chooses not to do anything then you can call them worthless, but from what i hear they are trying to get this corrupt MEC out and a new one in so they can push this company forward.

Whatever your problem with this group may be dont forget they are pilots just like you and had you not been fuloughed you would be in this same group of "worthless" pilots... You are on the same side as them and by making comments like that you are doing the very same thing they are doing....kicking them in the groin.

Really not trying to offend you just my 2 cents.

From what he tells me this current MEC is completely all about national agenda and has no interest in the well being of the pilot group at PSA.
The ideas that i hear are being tossed around by the MEC is incredibly obvious that they either will not work or be tragic for the current PSA pilots.

If i were you PSA pilots i would contact my local rep and vote these clowns out ASAP. Just my humble opinion on what i have heard these guys have done or are trying to do. Not to mention i catch my friend on the company forums for PSA and every now and then read the vile and rude comments made by the VP Jesse.

Anyway, take it with a grain of salt. Good luck to all the PSA pilots.

Edit: Sorry i almost forgot to mention this obvious ploy to keep the pilots out of the loop on the election happening tomorrow. They know they have done a terrible job and are now trying to hide so they dont get thrown out. << That should be enough to shift you undecided voters.

Welcome to ALPA.
