Its the "No True Scotsman" logical fallacy usually (as seen here in this thread) followed by the "Middle Ground" fallacy.

Of course if I point how when the original "how do you use SAP" poll went out on Facebook you were able to select more than one reason for why you SAP. Then without any explanation of why the poll was being sent out there came a link to a Survey and you were able to select one reason hit the NEXT button and that took you to the completion of the survey... not what one would expect I guess or at least I figured there would be follow on questions. Then after given no reason why this survey went out and explanation of what this extremely poorly gathered information was going to be used for we are now getting the "vast majority... blah blah blah" rammed down our throats. The poll was conducted very unprofessionally and quite laughable by anyone with a high school education.

I'm not a betting man but I'd put down my whole paycheck that any one of us that knew how that survey was going to be used would have either abdicated or voiced concern at that time. What we are left with is people telling us we got "what we asked for" when we did not have the first clue WTF was even going on. We always referred to ourselves as "Mushrooms" in the military in these types of situations - kept in the dark and fed $hit.

There was absolutely under no uncertain terms any proof whatsoever that "junior manning" would have resulted in incidents. Just more fear mongering.

But hey, I'm critical so I'm just a dissident...

You want me to say positive things? THEN DO POSITIVE $HIT !!!

Kind of like the fun magician's selected outcome. Pick a card, ok we'll toss that one. Pick another card, ok we'll keep that one. See, you picked the card!
