Rules for Opt out of Forced Capt Upgrade

The MEC chairman did state over a conference call that "I'm about to roll out a reserve rule LOA with major reserve rule improvements" back in the fall and the current reserve rule LOA had a 60 day timetable requirement for implementing a bucket list which has gone and passed. I can see how guys are calling that a "promise" from the union, are they wrong? Why not own it instead of playing stupid?
The three pack of LOAs foisted upon the pilot group late last year have been a train wreck for many people, like the guys who are forced to upgrade against their will, instead of the Union having their back and demanding necessary pay and QOL increases to actually incentivize the upgrade. And then, the guys on reserve who were handed a nebulous LOA which screwed up FCFS for a lot of guys, and gave a poorly worded "First Out Last Out" system that the company can ignore at will, and oh by the way, displaced pilots (you know, LINE HOLDERS) can't even participate in! Apparently there's been some changes in how the 120 vs 48 is being managed, but where's the language so pilots know what kind of ground there standing on? And where's the new language that was promised within 60 days? If the company can't get their poo poo together why not say that, because otherwise we're just going to blame the union. Oh, and wheres the language for the flow increase? Never seen that either, but TR gets his earlier flow date, so I guess the forced upgrades were worth it.

FlyyGuyy,
I do not circulate emails nor conduct conference calls. I speak to a man or woman eye to eye. If you want answers, communicate with who I suggested. As the first line of your response indicated, it's up to you.
FlyGuy2112,
Your MEC doesn't conduct the conference calls. We (MEC and NC) all have our contact information available, use it. (2112/The Professor)

If the union leadership won't do anything because they are close to flow, they need to resign their position. And I'm sure when they are one foot out the door they will force PBS on the rest of us. No pay improvements, no QOL improvements, no flow improvements, just PBS without a vote. Thats whats going to happen. But how would we know, the pilot group hasn't heard a peep from the union in months. crickets.....

It's not like they respond to us even if we call. They might as well just get the numbers off. I've never gotten a response from my Council 61 rep. I definitely wasn't the only person who had trouble getting answers from him. He needs to start taking his position seriously. The 61 CA Rep is pretty cool though; I've flown with him.

I've tried reaching out to mr. tr and my local rep in Charlotte, with no real answers.
Wish they could all be like cj, ep and you.

Michael, you're a solid guy. Every personal interaction I've had with you had been professional and straight forward. Never forget having a few beers with you as a new guy in phf.
