Base Updates

Not at all. The company is (likely temporarily) reducing the number of CAs and FOs and some lines in CLT to initially open PHL and ORF. They did the same with CVG and DCA when they opened... CLT is still by a very large longshot our biggest and most robust operation.

Ok thanks for the clarification. That’s what I figured but you can never know with these regionals. Just came over from XJT and had my share of shuffling around and surprises I can assure you.

Shifting flying out for other junior bases doesn’t sound good for a fella interested in PSA solely because of CLT.
I’m very 121 ignorant - but I’m guessing this means that CLT is just becoming more difficult to get as a new hire?

Not really. There is so much movement here from the flow and outside attrition almost everyone can likely hold their base of choice by the time their done with IOE and finished with training.

As for the schedule types:
R1: Round One Line. Lots of flexibility with SAP
BU: Build Up Line. Leftovers after SAP. You have a schedule, but the trips could be better.
LCR: Long call reserve. 12 hour callout.
SCR: Short Call Reserve. 2 hour callout in most bases. Potential of getting hot reserve as well, which is sitting standby in the airport.
