SAP isn’t going anywhere. I’m not sure why everyone keeps saying it

Oops, yea. PBS, not SAP.

Here's why there will be no vote. The only way for the pilot group to vote out line bidding with SAP is to give us pay and QOL increases. AAG is not going to increase pay at the WO's until they have to due to insufficient staffing. PSA is not going to improve QOL (reserve, min day, etc), because the company needs to use the current concessionary contract language as leverage.

When the union and company forces PBS on us, they will sell it by telling us it is necessary for fleet growth, captain attrition, and schedule efficiency.

When the union approves the PBS LOA, this is what the email to the pilot group is going to say. "Due to the fleet growth, captain attrition, and schedule inefficiency, we have approved this LOA to help with the above areas. This will help you, the pilot group, by increasing the number of lines, thus decreasing the amount of time you will spend of reserve. Additionally, the new PBS system has a SAP, albeit with a few differences. The new SAP will be contingent on the reserve grid. Also, their will be blackout dates during Federal holidays and the November and December holiday periods. Under the previous agreement, the pilot's were able to drop to 65 hours of credit per month. Under the new LOA, pilots will be allowed the opportunity to drop down to 75 hours of credit. All of these improvements will help PSA take on the additional 700s from Envoy and the NEW 900s straight from the factory! What an amazing time to be a member of the PSA family! We would also like to thank the president, Dion, with his benevolent leadership, in making PSA the most cost effective Wholly Owned regional for AAG!"

I would say 70 hours not 75 hours makes more sense. I'm also going to go ahead and call it at mid-high 80's for the new pay scale for a 4yr. captain. Flow is going to cost us something. Probably some offer to get paid over normal rate for working over certain amount of hours like 125% for anything over 85 hrs. or something similar. Any incentive to keep guys from dropping to 65 and attempting to pick back up at 125% or 150%. I think this causes alot of issues with people doing this in relation to our open time. With as many people going through DAY I can't see this coming anytime soon.

How is training conflict with a trip handled? If it falls into days off and drops you below min days, what happens?

The union reps I’ve talked to say it’s 100% going to a vote.

So are our FOs some of the lowest paid now that the retention bonuses have expired? Or do they still have one more check to go?

So, where are we actually, in terms of negotiating new contract items? I flew with an MEC rep a couple months ago, and it seemed as though several items were being discussed, with late summer being the goal for negotiations.

With the uptick in attrition and slight decline in training numbers (as per TallFlyer's data points), do we feel there is any truth to this at this point in time?
