It saves you the harassment from crew if they see you're PSA.
If I have a seat in the cabin on AA or an AA WO it is at the will and pleasure of the airline and not the captain, gate agent, etc. JS is a whole different story. Otherwise, how would DH crews travel? FOM says they must be in uniform.

I will say that I've witnessed nothing but professionalism from Envoy flight crews. Most of them understand we are all taking a bite from the same crap sandwich.

Not saying it's right or wrong just what I've been told by friends.

I've experienced it once or twice but it's only been with very very senior CA or FAs.

I've had a CA request my ID badge, ATP, Medical, FCC and my passport to jumpseat. I didn't argue as it was my only option that night.

It's not limited to WOs. I had a AA CA tell me to sit down and shut up. He told his FO don't talk to the regional scum. The FO apologized profusely after the flight.

That's not that typical 99.999% of my jumps I've ever taken. Most crews are most welcoming and helpful.

Maybe I am wrong or out of date on these issues but I would have shared that experience with AA Professional Standards.

No.

If you're a current PSA pilot, it's on the (password protected) myPSA website under "departments", and "crew pay".

Please reach out to the ALPA volunteers and your CP's office if these things really happened (problems with another regional or with a mainline flight crew). I will reach out to you via PM.

As far as asking for license and medical, that is not a bad idea to do anyways and I have both asked for it and had people ask for it. There is nothing wrong with that at all.

Tallflyer. Thanks for that link. It would do the union good to make that type of rederic more available to the pilot group, more often. KEEP THE INFO FLOWING. Imho.

I just found out about that link today. I presume it’s a work in progress.

Anyone know if the FAs can tell if you're a D2? I was coming back from vacation with the family from MCO and the FA asked us if I was an FA or a pilot. No badge and not in uniform.
