I'm far from being a "we have to pass it so we can see what's in it" kind of person. That said, let's at least see what the union has proposed before we start griping. As Tall Flyer said earlier, participation was very low with CLT rep ballots. I'm not saying I disagree with your point(s), but I feel that if we want a say in the process, we have to get involved in the process. Even those who are still in probation should take an interest in the process.

This is exactly the problem. Tons of complainers, no contributors.
Frankly, having check airmen on reserve being able to just take my flying as a captain is bs. I didn't care about losing a few legs to a guy who needs to get current. Reserve guys just taking my trip because they are check airmen is not okay. So I'm pretty happy about that agreement.

This agreement only covers mgmt flying. Looks to me if you are displaced for IOE as a captain you are still gonna get the shti sandwich.

Think about this for a second:

If a new FO needs IOE, you displace the FO from a LCA's trip and put the new FO in the seat.
If a new CA needs IOE, you displace the FO from an LCA's trip, the LCA slides over, and put the new CA in the CA's seat.

How often do regular CA's get displaced for IOE? It's very rare. That said, the actual language of the agreement applies to all CA displacements anyway.

Yeah, but for IOE, or management / instructor flying?

In any case, you're about to have some more time off.

The email 100% only says mgmt flying. So SIPs or CP/DO flying for currency. There is no mention of displacement for IOE flying, perhaps it is in the LOA but it is most certainly not in the email.

The issue is that there are LCAs on reserve. That is why captains are being displaced. It's not all that rare right now. The company is actually displacing BOTH pilots in the case of assigning a reserve LCA.

To your above example......I am an LCA. I was just displaced off of day 1 on my last trip. So it happens. That being said they just bought it off me so I stayed home. Apparently this agreement was already in effect at that time before the email came out.

The language in the actual agreement is different, but I'll let TR have the final word on that when it gets pushed out to the pilot group.

Any LOA with pay raises and work rule improvements should also have a copy and paste of the PDT flow language at the very least if PBS is being discussed IMO.
