They're over 1,000 training events behind right now. They are pausing hiring for a couple months this year to play catch up just a bit.

The company very recently made up a new way to count, so they could avoid increasing the flow number temporarily.

They love it as a recruiting tool, but they hate it when they are required to comply with it.
Internal (non-company) info has also shown the flow projections the company is giving to not be too far off. And those are based on current attrition. Attrition is going to skyrocket over the next few years.

Truthfully your post is full of vitriol and is disingenuous at best.

I highly doubt they will run classes all month next year either. The hiring will eventually slow down at PSA and they will meter the flow just like last year. If you are two years or more away from going. Get out, Get out now.

Get out now? Where do you suggest we should go? Make a lateral move to another regional and start back at the bottom? Go to a LCC and get stuck there just as if you were to get stuck at a regional? If you have zero PIC 121 time you should just stay put and do your time. Then you will be marketable for a Legacy air carrier and or Major airline. This place isn't that bad except for the few negative Nancy's you get stuck with on a 4 day trip causing you to contemplate banging out sick.

Here's something to futile to complain about. New DCA crew room being located by the Delta gates. I'm all for getting my 10,000 steps a day, but seriously? There wasn't a SINGLE better location? Ya, the old one was small but at least it was convenient.

aaaaand go.

I noticed that. I don't think they care as long as they are satisfying the contractual requirements.

He's right in that flow really only benefits the top 3rd of the seniority list. If your in the middle, or bottom 3rd, I would have my resumes out as you will probably get picked up by another legacy before flowing. What's wrong with a LCC? You wouldn't work at SWA? There is probably only one LCC that I would not consider. If they somehow manage to get decent contracts hammered out, a career with an LCC could be very good. My bet is that they will have to improve, or they too will have a difficult time staffing when retirement at the legacies hit full stride.
