Think about it...how many flights does PSA operate from CLT to PHL? It's all mainline. But PHL has the potential to draw down the non-hub crew bases a bit...

I said this last month, fewer R1 lines means fewer people SAPping, means they can make more of us on R2, build up or reserve lines for the holidays, or permanently. Dilutes the power of the SAP. I switched from DCA to CLT when the trend was going well, then ended up on reserve. Thinking about bidding back to one of the other bases where I can hold a line.

I was in the May 22nd class and they put us in Best Western Plus Dayton Northwest. Not a bad place. Definitely no bed bugs reported when we were there. Close to a grocery store.

Umm, build the lines, with low total block hours for the month necessitating fewer round1 lines. "Then" get the phone call from Dallas that more flying needs to be covered.
When I started my commute was Mesa, then RAH, then PSA, now mainline. Your telling me the scheduling committee gets to audit mainline and the contract carriers to see where flying goes or comes from?
There's no way they could successfully protest that we got 25k block hours for the month insteased of 35k and therefore more RD1 lines should have been built.
I mean I don't think it would happen, or that AA cares about Dion's scheduling problems, and wouldn't inconvenience themselves to solve his problems. But there is absolutely nothing I wouldn't put past Dion.

This would have to be planned months in advance by AA marketing.....Before now for sure. They aren't just going to leave flying uncovered until the last second in order to save a small(relative to the AA whole) amount of money on like 50 lines at PSA.
This is way too sensationalist.

Well actually marketing could. They add flex flights several times a year now. Plenty of times I've seen flights on NRTP that weren't on Passrider because I they were added late.
Also I don't think they would consider it uncovered, just Dion, and when it gets to your schedule.
Additionally, I dont think AA marketing is going to get heart burn if an Envoy, PSA, XJT, SKW, or Mesa CRJ operates a flight.
I personally think the XJT 700s, and mainline are taking the CLT lines and we're growing DCA, but there most definitely is nothing Dion wouldn't try to advance himself.

What's up everybody? I am a military pilot getting ready to do the RTP thing for PSA. I can't help to notice a high level of negativity on this forum. I dont know anything about 121 jobs, but I can honestly say I am second guessing myself. Can anyone shed some insight on things. Is PSA the right choice? What is the corporate culture? Do employees complain like they do here? It is exhausting reading these posts, ( upgrade time, base selection, flow numbers, scheduling conflicts, days off, reserve time) and I haven't spent one day on the job. Is this job worth it or not? Anything helps. Thanks
