How much are you spending on hotels a month after the $250.00 they reimburse you for? Also, sounds like a crashpad would be the better option there? I was hoping for clt since i live an 1.5? Hours away. Thanks

Can someone explain that September grid to me. If you want to talk offline to avoid clogging up the discussion, let me know. Seems confusing. Thanks guys.

If you look back, it has been explained in painstaking detail several times in the past for different months.

Pretty much, it tells you the seniority of the most junior person in each base and in each type of bid assignment. You can see how long it is currently taking to get a R1 line, build up line, long call, and short call in each base. This starts from date of hire, so if you subtract about 3 months from each, you can see how long people have to spend on reserve (since your first 3 months here will be in training).

Just look at the bottom graph for now, that is the FO grid.

JUst got back from Vacay, so here's my usual. Looks like me and the Padawan are in agreement.

And some helpful added commentary:

To the person asking... Kind of...

For example I'm the 3 Jan that held R1 in CLT however I'm 2nd in seniority in my class of 20. Also this is a snapshot of the past. So everyone else that may have taken DAY out of training but wants CLT that is looking at the same grid has base bids that are not on this graph. Bottom line - this will get you close but it's not linear.

There is a website, not sure if it's secret or not so I won't say the name here, I haven't been able to get on it since I signed up due to some registration issues and emails to the admin have went unanswered.... It requires your employee number....

Anyhow, it has more graphs and stuff that will get you closer. I'm pretty sure it's TallFlyer that compiles all the info, again I'm newish myself so I don't know if that information isn't suitable for distribution or what.

Even with all that info though it's impossible to know who has what base bids (that I know of) you can always be bumped down the list by a senior guy changing bases, fall flying schedule having less lines ( it's likely I may not have R1 next month depending on how many lines are taken away ) etc etc

Also the length of time to move up each level is getting worse. We're starting to hit the big classes. I'm a Jan 16th hire but I'm still 13 numbers from a R1 in CLT.

I'll be lucky to get R1 by Oct if not Nov. the company is slowly reducing lines in CLT and transferring them to DCA. There is also a rumor that we are getting PHL in the next few months. Which will also make CLT times stagnate.

I wouldn't put it past the company either to make R1 lines almost nonexistent in Nov and Dec to prevent people from having the holidays off. They'd love everyone to be R2.
