We had full classes (20-25) every 2 weeks and usually in training for 3 months. Hence, anyone who left for whatever reason - didn't make it through, decided it wasn't for them, personal reasons, etc would be included in that number.
So simply going on the low estimate of 20 per class it is roughly 5% which is not bad considering all the possible reasons why those pilots left.

CLT base
Not sure why people are saying you are getting your choice of base right out of training(or 1 month) still cough cough PSA HELP. I was May 22 class and I just got CLT awarded in December. That's 3 months after IOE(which still isn't bad but I was also told I'd get it right out of training). It's been my first choice from day 1. I'm also not sure why DCA has dashes in the reserve section of the chart that TALLFLYER is nice enough to put out as though indicating there is no reserve in DCA. Maybe it just started but I was short call all of August and just got it again all of September. Can't say I'm complaining because it's the nature of the business but don't believe everything you read on here either.

In the past few month just about everyone out of training got the base they wanted out of IOE. Also, some bases had no reserves certain months (DAY and DCA) come to mind. Keep in mind that is what is awarded during bidding. What scheduling builds after that at completion of IOEs is a different story.

I'm talking about this year. I'm the past few months you are referring to and it's 3 months for me out of IOE(finished first week August). DEC award. And I was middle of my class with seniority. Again still not horrible but paying for 3 months of hotels in DCA with SCR isn't very fun.

A lot has changed since May last year.

Yeah last couple of months were funky. One base would have no reserves, while other (CLT especially) saw R2 lines drop a lot where majority is now SCR. At the same time, DCA had no reserves to bid for in August - everything awarded in R2 were build up lines. You can go to FLICA and check it all out under Awards.
IMO, it will stay a little "off" till end of the year. When Air Wisconsin contract ends we should see more stable lines.
