Default Fitness on the road

Any of you guys have a specific regiment you follow?

Is it just make up a routine based on whatever equipment the gym has?

Besides your running shoes and other gear you pack?

I've got a pair of swim goggles in my bag but rarely find a decent pool on hotel overnights.

I don't do it, but lots of folks do Crossfit on the road. You know, burpees and kettle balls (more and more hotels have these in their workout rooms) and all that cultish jazz.

I personally find running at least 5K (either outside if I'm not going to get run over, or on a treadmill if it is a LifeFitness or Precor), pushups, and crunches to be great...then again, I'm not a gym rat.

A jump rope is another good option that is light & easy to pack, and I've also been known to run stairs on occasion.

These two books are great for bodyweight only exercises.

Naked Warrior by Pavel Tsatsouline: I learned how to do a one-arm pushup and pistol squat from this.

Convict Conditioning--a simpler book with similar exercises.

Check out Al Kavadlo on YT.
