Sleep
Don't you hate it when you have a 12 PM show one day and a 5 AM show the very next? I tried to go to bed at 8 PM so I can have a good 8 hrs of sleep for my 4 AM wake up call, but I just can't fall asleep... I don't think more than 6 hours of sleep is happening tonight. I hate it when I don't get at least 8 hrs... I'm yawning all day the next day and feel more irritable and stressed than usual. Plus it makes my skin look bad.
Anybody else have the same problem and do you have any tips?

Yeah, that's the one quality of life/health issue that I can't seem to overcome on the road. I try not to sleep in on my days off (in Cali)...that helps just a little with those 0515 shows on the east coast.

lol, I know.. normally I never drink coffee.. but every morning this month that I had the 5 AM show (right after having a 12 PM show) I've had to get myself a cup. Apparently my captain has had the same prob all month long as we have the same schedule... as we're heading to the airport he's always like man I only had 3 hours of sleep. Two pilots with combined sleep of 8 hrs cant be a good thing..... . I wish the company was a little smarter/more efficient with scheduling their pilots.

melatonin
You might want to try melatonin. Your body produces it naturally as the sun goes down, which is what causes you to feel tired. It is available at most drug stores and as been recommended by more than one AME (though not "officially") It works great for irregular sleep schedules. It's pretty popular with guys who fly at night and then have trouble sleeping during the day. Below is a link to a research paper that I found on the Vanderbilt website. It pretty much sums up most of the information I was able to find in one neat package. Of course, I recommend talking to your non-aviation doctor about it also. Best of luck.
