Default Just got a letter back from aeromedical...

...and they've cleared me neurologically! I guess they needed all the paperwork and imaging. Funny how numerous letters from my doctors wouldn't cut it.

But they're still requiring me to undergo their exorbitantly-expensive HIMS testing, which will extort from me upwards of $10,000

Anyone here ever get them to waive it?

Congrats to you. Now go do what they want you to do and consider the expense the cost of doing business.

This is an exceptionally common misunderstanding. They ARE NOT INTERESTED in your doctor's opinion. They will send you a letter saying "get test ABC and send us the result". Your doctor writes a letter saying "Test ABC is not appropriate, I recommend XYZ".

They give zero fornications. Read their letter and do exactly what they say.

That's not really the way I see it. I have nothing to look forward to, even if I get "approved."

I mean, really, what do I have to look forward to? Lying on my medical applications from here out? Avoiding seeing a doctor for any reason? Having to leave the country, pay for procedures and/or surgery in cash and under a false pseudonym?

And to be under the judgmental eye of a government agency that openly exercises this discrimination and impunity?

The only reason I'd even remotely consider this is to become a CFI at this point. There are no millions waiting for me. But, I can reclaim my dignity.

You have no future as a professional pilot. Your attitude would never permit you to fly for a living. Your inability to tell the truth, your persecution complex, and your penchant for misrepresentation, coupled with your inability to listen and learn (gauged as a change in behavior, if you didn't know) guarantees that the door to you is closed. Only you could open it, and you won't.

Here you've perpetuated the lie in a third thread. You got a little bit of good news, and right down the toilet you went once more.

You are a liar. Discrimination, you charge. Show it. Corruption. You keep repeating it as though doing so will make it true.

There is no judgmental eye. The man isn't out to get you. No one has suggested that you should lie on an application for a medical certificate, though you've posted almost nothing but lies here, so it doesn't seem to bother you in the least. There is no reason to avoid seeing a doctor. You are making these things up, too.

You put "approved" in quotation marks, though you've maintained steadfastly that unqualified doctors have "approved" you to fly. Now, when you refer to an actual FAA approval, you diminish it by inference.

Leaving the country, paying for procedures or surgery with cash under a false pseudonym? From what idiotic recess of your mind do you dredge up this trash? Seriously.

Naw. They are just doing that to discourage you because they know there’s not a chance in h€|| that the HIMS doctors would pass you anyway. It’s just an easy way for them to fine you $10K for libeling them while allowing an independent contractor to provide them deniability.
